Frequently Asked Questions
What do you believe?
New Palestine Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church. We hold to the Southern Baptist statement of convictions called The Baptist Faith and Message. For a more detailed breakdown of what we believe, please see our What We Believe page.
what should i expect during a worship service?
When we gathertogether for Sunday Worship, you will be greeted at the door and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. All of our services have the same style and the same aim: to make much of Jesus Christ. Our musical worship is a mixture of contemporary and traditional music. We preach the totality of God’s word and seek to equip you with the tools you need to make disciples. Please click here for a preview of one of our services.

We encourage you to dress comfortably. Some people dress up but most wear casual and comfortable clothes. We don't want you to be worried about what you wear. You will not feel out of place.

There are several ways to do this. Explore our website and you will learn more about the ministries and staff. Fill out the “Guest” portion of our bulletin and drop it in the offering plate. Additionally, our pastors are also available to answer any questions you might have.
What style of music is in your worship services?
NPBC sings hymns and songs that are founded in Scripture and focused on God. We also prioritize music that is easy to sing. We believe that all styles of worship music are beneficial for the Church as long as they meet these standards.
How do I join NPBC?
To join our church you must profess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. You must also be baptized by immersion. If you are a member of a church of like practice then you can join by transfer of membership.
The best way to join NPBC is to schedule a meeting with one of our Pastors after a service or by phone/email. You can also call the church office to schedule an appointment: 601-798-3571. We hold membership information lunches every few months for those exploring membership.
Where do my children go on Sunday morning?
We have a safe environment for them from nursery through sixth grade. We have nursery during both services and children's church for children up to 1st grade during the 11:00am service. Sunday school is available for all children. Our nursery offers great care for the infants and all of our volunteers and staff are certified and have passed their background checks. Please bring your children past the sanctuary to the children’s department where one of our volunteers can check you in and help you with any questions you may have.
What about for my youth?
We have Sunday school for middle and high school youth upstairs at 9:45am. Wednesday night bible study is at 6:00pm.
